Staying with Escobar! (Mar 12)

Ok so for the news of the week: we had transfers and I'm staying here with Elder Escobar for another transfer! I'm actually happy for it so this transfer we are planning to keep working hard and baptize.

So this week was just another great week! Of course p-day was terrible but we made tie dye socks so it was a little different so that was okay.

And then on Tuesday we contacted and found a few people and it was great and on Wednesday we returned to one of the houses that we had contacted and said that we could return and they were waiting for us! It was the first time that had happened to me while on the mission. Anyways, they invite us in and we start teaching and the lady is like "ya I'm so thankful to my Heavenly Father..." and I was thinking "wow this lady sounds like she knows whats she's talking about" so I asked if she was member and she said yes but her son that was there wasn't and he wants to be baptized. They are from Valenzuela, Paraguay and she got baptized when she was 15 and attended for a few years and then moved to the campo and couldn't attend and slowly fell away from the church. Then she moved here about 10 years ago and one of her sons got killed and she's been wanting to come back to church but just hasn't and so when we knocked on her door she was super excited. And her son has like a mental problem but he's cool and understands well and he wants to be baptized so we have a date for the 14 of April.

We also put 3 other baptismal dates this week and Arnaldo our other Paraguayo went to church yesterday and we were STOKED out of our minds! Such an accomplishment.

We found a Bolivian named Goumercindo?? And he's like "You know I've been looking for something like this but I couldn't find it." We taught the restoration and it was one of the best lessons ever. So simply explained. I've been stepping up my game a lot recently. (I say that as humbly as possible. It doesn't sound very humble but what I mean to say is that  I'm really getting out of my comfort zone and it's showing results.)

We had a conference with President this week and guess who the assistants are? My TWO fave comps Elder Ekblad and Elder Singh so it was great to see them. They are doing a super good job. Definitely my favorite assitants. The mission is changing a lot and in a super good way.

It's been raining a bit this week and it's quite cold and I'm scared because it's "summer" right now I don't want to know "winter". (Even though I was actually already in Gallegos in winter once) it's been a while since I've seen my own breath and I liked it that way but it's getting cold. I used gloves while on my bike.

Things seem to be going well for now. I'm happy. We will see how things go for now!

But I hope everything is well with you all. Let me know!!
