NEW YEAR NEW ME (I hope) --Jan 2

HAPPY NEW YEARS! Does everyone have their resolutions?? I still don't.... but I'll get on it. My only goal is to NOT get married in 2018 hahaha and it's weird to think some missionaries have that as their goal to get married this year... what?!

I'm gonna try and finish the mission and change a lot... I know the world thinks it's good to be yourself but myself is like the natural man so maybe I have a lot to get better. I'm gonna leave my old Colin out here and I'll get back a better person. But first I've gotta put metas [goals]

Ok so to talk about my life now.
I've discovered Elder Mendez IS JOAQUIN 110%. Like igual. His mannerisms... it's weird. But it's fun. He's kinda like Elder Nuñez where he's fun with the people and good at being a missionary. I'm learning SO much from him. I think I'll only have one transfer with him but we'll see.

This week we are planning on having a baptism with Evelin, a 19 old girl with a hard life. She's hard to teach because she acts tough and gets distracted a lot, but when she listens she's great.

We also are planning on having another baptism the 13th so that will be the first back to back baptism I've had. It'll be like I'm in Brasil or something.

Speaking of Brasil there's a new hermana here from Brasil and she has an afro and her accent is SOO thick. It's the best. I think the Portuguese accent in Spanish is the best accent there is.

We watched Lego Batman for Año Nuevo as a zone and it was funny. I'm sure it's funnier in English but I liked it.

It's weird being lider de distrito [district leader] again. I feel lost. It's like it's the first time I'm district leader.

I'm out of time but love you all. Thanks for writing me a ton... I had like 40 more letters. It's hard to respond to everyone. It reminds me of the early days of the mish....

With the Atonement of Jesus Christ we can become better people and change our habits and the things that are bad in our life. I'm sure of it because I've seen it in my own life and the life of others.

Lives are fixed with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thanks to modern day prophets that guide us we can continually know what to do to be able to achieve perfection.
