Trio Life

You either die in Madryn in the summer or live long enough to see yourself there in winter.
This week got COLD. It's been un rato since I've seen my own breath. Throw back to those Gallegos days. But now I'm back to the shivering, keeping my hands in my pockets for warmth days. Winter is coming

hahah Ok so sometimes the mission just gives you experiences like none other. So us in the trio were walking about to enter into an appointment and the cops pull up behind us and are like "Ay chicos, suban!" We keep walking and they start talking to us more. We stop and they tell us that they need a witness for an "allanamiento." We explained that we couldn't split up and they were like "No but we do this with the testigos all the time. Then we explained that we are Mormon missionaries and we actually can't separate. After talking back and forth they finally say that all 3 of us can go (even tho we had a cita and we didn't want to).  So that's the story of how the cops pick us up in their cop car and take us across town. (Note that we were 6 in a 5 person car. So illegal for cops).  We get to some house and Elder Singh says he can be the witness.  So we get out and there are like 5 cops in masks and vests and they make Elder Singh enter the house first. hahaha Meanwhile Elder Rojas and I stayed in the cop car and talked to the other cops about science and faith.  After like 15 minutes or so Elder Singh and the other cops come out with nothing. They dropped us back off where they found us.

Later that night Elder Singh explains to us what he did. (And Singh is super hilarious so we were busting up laughing the whole time.) At this point I still had no idea what an "allanamiento" was so I look it up in the dictionary and it's literally a breaking and entering. We actually helped the cops break and enter a house hahah oops. He tells us that he enters the house and the cops enter after him and tackle a guy down the stairs and then search his house for stolen items. And while they were searching the house, the cops pull out a folleto [pamphlet] of the Plan of Salvation from a folder. hahaha We were in tears when he told us that hahaha.

So of course we called the ZLs after and they were like "um ya we can't do that. Don't do it again." But like ok I don't think we will. It's kinda like a one time thing. But it makes for the best story hahah. Poor Elder Singh on his 2nd day in Madryn.

This trio is pure party. Like what can you expect when you put a hilarious talkative Cordobes, a Bonarense and an easy to laugh gringo together. It's super great. Better than any of us expected. It's gonna take time to get used to working with 3 but we already have plans to do divisions with members.

Yesterday in church we did divisions so 2 of us could go find a menos activa family and bring them to church. It was great. It feels super good to actually have results in our work.  I'm super looking forward to what we can do this transfer. It's gonna go by too quick I feel like.

We did a service on Friday. It was  fun. We cleaned a room that had been burned.
