Trials and Blessings

Alright so as you guys should’ve known, yesterday was el Clasico. O sea BOCA VS RIVER. It was pretty crazy. We were walking down the street and this guy comes running out of his house screaming at the top of his lungs "GOOOOOAAAAALLLL VAMOS VAMOS VAMOS VAMOS VAMOS" and that’s how we find out the score of the games. Boca had scored. All the cars start honking their horns and fireworks go off. We took the sacrament to a sick member and he was watching the game so we got to see like 10 minutes. I don’t want to say too much more but I’m just gonna put it out there.  River’s defender sucks and totally could’ve blocked the shot that tevez scored. Turns out BOCA won 3-2 and it was actually a super good game.
News: Elder Teixeira’s mom emailed me and I got a little too excited! ahah She said she’s waiting for me in Curitba!! I can’t wait.

Another important news:
I was totally right about Hermana Gervasoni, and HNA BULACIO is here in Centro with us!!!!!!!! So I’ve already got all the deets about HOLLY.  She said Holly spoke perfectly, and even spoke more Guarani than her. She’s super cool and sings really well. I was thinking and I feel like she’s part of the reason why I stayed in Gallegos. Idk but now we are gonna be better friends than Holly is with her.
Another conclusion I’ve had:
The closer you get to the equator, the nicer everyone becomes. It’s a positive correlation, with a 99% confidence interval and the outlier being Canadá. Trust me. Also the same could be said with "the closer you get to the equator, the more attractive the girls are. But that’s according to Ixcot and Kidd as my proofs.
This week I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about trials! On Saturday of last week I lost my wallet (like an idiot) and now I have to order a new bank card and medical card. They’ll be coming in a month so don’t worry. But you should prolly cancel my Chase bank card, and also I don’t have my new license. I still have my old one but not my new one. So maybe if you can I need a new current one. Luckily I didn’t have much money in the wallet. And nothing else.
So losing a wallet had me worried, I was quite sick and stuffy for the first half of the week and that’s just terrible in the first place but when you’re a missionary it just makes it so much worse. I couldn’t even think in English let alone Spanish. I was outside walking all day, sneezing my head off, and wasn’t sure if I was hot or cold. It was terrible. A real trial. Now I’m much better but still it was a rough patch in my life.
And so I’ve been thinking about trials. And also I’ve heard the songs "Blessings" and "Clay in His Hands" on Rachel’s ipod and it’s got me thinking about it more. Like I know the apostles and stuff pray for trials to become like a better, stronger person but I’m scared because losing a wallet and being a little sick about had me done in. But then also I’m tryna come back from the mish super studly and changed for the better. So I’m conflicted. Can I pray for like small trials??? Is that a thing???
Another thing is that I’m super blessed too. I feel almost bad about it. Cool comp. Good food every day. Like some missionaries go to bed hungry and I’m like "no please not a 4th course please no". Ahhh mentira but kinda not. I’m not getting fat anymore. Or at least I don’t feel it. I’ve been getting in those ab work outs so I’m feeling better, looking better jajaja.
Another side note before I go--I don’t have much time left--my Spanish is slowly improving. I love seeing improvements in myself. I’ve recently been  completing the work sheets in my Spanish book and it’s helping. If you guys wanted to send me another Spanish grammar book, I’d love you forever. I read those like candy. But we can talk about it at Christmas maybe.
Also Elder Teixeira is with Elder Ekblad and I’m so happy hahahaha
Love Colin
Ps I’ve also been thinking a lot about the Plan of Salvation and Pres. Uchtdorf’s talk from conference. Oh how great the plan of our God. For real. Also I came upon a quote that said "Our Heavenly Father has a perfect plan for imperfect people" or something like that and like wow. It’s so infinite. We don’t even comprehend. Hermano Cuttini talked to us this week and he’s like "you won’t see all of the fruits of your labors until we pass the veil" and like it’s crazy we don’t even know how much GOOD we do.
