"Changes" -Tupac

Ok big changes coming up!

On Friday we got all the good news. Or bad. No sé todavia. Elder Kidd is going to Puerto Madryn tonight to be with Elder Miner, who got here with me and was the comp of Elder Crawford in the CCM. He's pretty excited. Apparently Puerto Madryn is real nice. And it's hot.

Unexpected: Elder Teixeira se fue a Rio Grande esta mañana! I thought for sure he was staying and then would be a zone leader but he's still just a district leader now. I was surprised!

Now my family is leaving/gone and it's real sad. Like I'm gonna miss Elder Kidd and Teixeira so much. Like it's weird but they're leaving. Everything I know is changing. My life will change so much. Except for the area and the ward and investigators and stuff but the people I spend all my time with are changing! I miss Teixeira already. But I have a trip planned to Curitiba already and Teixeira wants to visit Compton so we're all good. Tudo bem.

So now the news you've all been waiting for!! My new comp is named Elder Gonzalez. I hear he has like 7 months in the mission or something. Real young too. But he's from Resistencia. Or Rosario. Idk I keep hearing different things. Apparently he's some super stud missionary. Everybody just keeps going off about him. I talked to Elder Farabee this morning before he left to Rio Grande to be a zone leader and he said he had Elder Gonzalez too! He said he's cool and he even knows a bit of English.. not that I need it. I'm tryna learn Spanish.

Elder Crawford is getting Elder Lopez who has like a year and a half in the mission. He's from Buenos Aires so he's porteño. He's our district leader. I hear good things about him too.

Also within the zone there's a good amount of transfers too so it's going be weird but maybe good to meet new people. I said goodbye to Ramirez this morning and that was sad too. I'll prolly never see him again. Or actually I maybe will but not much. He's going to Ushuaia now. But I'm going to visit Mexico City later so no importa. We are gonna get a new zone leader but I think he's cool. I met him my first day.

That's pretty much it for the big changes.

On Monday we had the asada which was just a bunch of raw meat pretty much lololol and then bowling. So in Argentina bowling kinda sucks. The whole time I kept imagining what Bro Karlen would say about the lanes. So in Argentina the pins are set up by hand by workers in the back. I felt bad every time I knocked over a pin because it just made more work for the dude. Also we have to keep our own score which sucks. Because you have to count and then use all the math you know just to find out that you lost. But actually it was overall pretty fun. Crawford and I just used all the Spanish we could to cheer for ourselves. "Aguantá. oooh REPIOLA en serio che. o sea COPADO!" And stuff like that.

Ya and on Saturday we painted the Velazquez house fence. But it was like alright. We had to de-rust the already rusted fence. And then paint it over with a de-ruster. But after Kidd made Venezuelan arepas, which were good. I don't know if he sent you the pics but I also watched part of the Liverpool game. Love all the soccer here. Good times.

And now here are the changes of myself over the past 18 weeks or so. Crazy how fast time goes. I'm not counting though. Not really. I think I'll be here for christmas but Crawford thinks we'll both leave after this transfer. I'm not so sure.

Anyways, I already told Rachel but I'd definitely say I'm not going to be scared to make phone calls when I get back. I mean, I can do em in Spanish I can definitely do them in English. I can talk to strangers too. About anything. And it will be easier when I'm not a missionary anymore. I don't know if I told you but one time Crawford and I were contacting and we didn't know the street so we literally just walked up to someone to ask the street name and she said "No thanks I'm catholic." Like, "Oh that's a weirdly specific street name. I know exactly where I am!" Anyways we later found out it was "Oceania".

It's definitely weird living with another person though. Like in the MTC it was different because it was all missionaries but now its just Elder Kidd and I. And soon to be just me and some Argentine bloke.

I had my first Argentine meal that I didn't like yesterday. I mean I choked it down but it was rough. It was a tarta with tuna in it. And I've had it twice before and it was aight but this one just wasn't for me.

Also it's crazy that almost 3 months ago I didn't like tea. Now I'm like "where's my tea?" when I walk into a lesson. "Gimme some of that dank mate cocido."

Other news! Today is the first day I've been here where I haven't worn anything but a white shirt. No wind breaker ni nada. It's real nice. It was quite windy this past week but other than that blue skies. Really nice. Perfect weather.

Blue skies ahead for me. Chau chau 4 now
