hahaha thanks for all the letters and pics. Much love for them all. En serio.
Ok so tbh I don't really have a lot to say this week for whatever reason. I don't know why but it just kinda happened...
Anyways this week has been soooo good. Like weather wise. Like seriously perfect almost. It was like sweater and a light jacket. I never needed gloves, or beanie, or scarf, or long garments. It's like when you go to the beach and it's cold. Like that kinda perfect temperature. I mean going to the beach when it's cold sucks but I mean here we aren't going swimming and we are wearing clothes so it's a nice breezy cool. My favorite. Sometimes it's clear and blue and sometimes it's slightly overcast. Honestly I wouldn't mind if the whole mission were like this but unfortunately it's not. But I appreciate it when I have it. The whole week was like this.
Also this week we had lunch with Luis Romero. And he showed me my pictures and letters on Facebook and I just got like real uncomfy with myself. Like when I write these in my head I'm like "ooh this is straight fire, my family is gonna cry tears bc how good this is" and then I see it on Facebook and I'm like "freak that has got to be written by a 2 year old. What the heck is that junk?! There's no way I wrote that" so ya thats how it goes. But I guess you can still post to the mission page on fb because I know how much you moms love to show off your 2 year-old missionaries. I saw who liked it and lol it's like Elder Tippet's mom and stuff. All the other missionaries' moms. I'm dead.
Speaking of Elder Tippet, we had a missionary conference with our zone with Pres. Salerno and the elders from Rio Turbio and 28 de noviembre came over and stayed the night with us. It was a little crazy. Elder Farabee is honestly the funniest guy though. He almost had me in tears I was laughing so hard. Also he played volleyball for Benedictine or something so I talked to him about playing college ball. It sounds too legit and I'm taking that as a sign to play when I get home. But for real you guys need to do your part and research JC or D3 volleyball schools I could go to. Or I will play Citrus soccer. Either one.
I played a semi pro in soccer and he was too good. Like fun though. Also I played volleyball with a convert here so I'm happy that Argentina has my two passions.
I mean tbh I don't have much more to say. I'm having a good time.
Siempre feliz. Todo bien. De diez.
Elder Ross
ps. Also look up "Sing Sing Sing" for me. I miss my swing music. Elder Crawford and Kidd were talking about jazz music because they are both saxophone majors so it made me think of big band music. So good.
pps. So I've discovered my favorite thing. Being able to understand a joke in Spanish. Not only do you get the satisfaction of being able to understand something, but you also get the satisfaction of a laugh at the end. It's the best feeling.
And also the quote of the week goes to Elder Teixeira who said "Ross es blanco pero tiene pelo de negro" or something along those lines. He's so funny. Every day. I talked to him and he said the mormon dances in brazil are sick and they are like "boliches". I learn a lot of Spanish when I talk with him. He's fun.
Elder Rosas is my mission twin. We are the exact same except he speaks more Spanish than me and his name has an A. Both Californians, we like bears, we both played tennis and soccer in high school, we both fix our hair the same way. You can't tell but it's kinda true. He had a haircut in this pic so not as much in this pic but its true..
Birthday parties with investigators #lit
Jesus es nuestro amigo. (Jesus is our friend)
Ok so we were looking up the area book and there was a note that was like "watch out for Little Baghdad, it's dangerous" and it didn't say where that was so now when we pass places that are ghetto we're like, "Is this Little Baghdad? Probably." It's a good time but for real you can't tell in this photo but it looked like a map straight from Call of Duty. Like it straight looked like a video game location. It was perfect.
