Ok so as you guys may have heard....
I'm leaving Gallegos! Y me voy a PUERTO MADRYN let's go to the beach each let's go get away
So from what I've heard from other missionaries and the people here, there are two really good places here on the mish. 1. Ushuaia and 2. Puerto Madryn
Everyone tells me it's hot right now but super lindo. This next transfer should be LIT (in ALMOST all senses of the word) because it's summer and prime vacation season, I'll see whales, and it's not as cold nor windy.
I talked to Ixcot because he was just in Puerto Madryn and he told me that our area touches part of Centro and has its OWN beach. Lit lit lit lit lit. The pension, he told me, is plus average nice. They have a ward there and apparently the members are super tight.
Elder Kidd is there still, and I'll see Hna Adams, and I already know the zone leader because I met him once in Comodoro and he's like the funniest guy!
And for the win I'M WITH ELDER NUÑEZ! hahahhah Such a score. So if you don't know who Elder Nuñez is, he got to Gallegos when I did and he was with Elder Rosas, my mission twin, and then trained Elder Ward. He left last transfer.
He has 22 years if I remember and he's from Capital Buenos Aires so he's a LEGIT Porteño. I was there on his one year back in August or September so he prolly has like a year and a half or so on the mish. He likes soccer and is just really chill. Like the "cool kid" of the mission. He's a little loco in the sense that if I jokingly said "hey let's go contact and swim on the beach" we might actually do it. NOT that he's disobedient but rather that he's the kinda guy that doesn't say no. But I've only been his comp for a day back in August so actually it could be really different than I think. And at least it's not a gringo. My Spanish will always get better with him!
I leave Gallegos tonight and I might arrive tomorrow night? I don't know but I tell you next week!
Gonzalez is getting a gringo with less time than me so that will be fun for him!!
Honestly tho this next traslado sounds a little too good to be true so I'll keep you posted on what's happening. Stay tuned.
I'm including a photo of Nuñez, he's on the far right, so you see him.
Elder Ross
P.D. Rocío says hi
Colin wrote this to my mom:
So my English has hit an all time low for the first time since I was born.. it's bad.
Also as I'm now leaving I said goodbye to all the members and like they all loved me. They said they were gonna miss me and gave me advice and it was super nice. Makes me sad to leave.
Familia Presa. The best fam besides the Ross fam. Super fun.
Fernando Altamiranda. So my second day I talked with him and helped him fill out his mission papers. We talked with him to get him pumped to serve a mission. We did that every Friday for my first two transfers. And then the week before Elder Kidd left he told us he had a girlfriend and the next week he was married. Oops. I really wanted him to go on a mission and told myself if he didn't go, my mission would be a failure. How dramatic am i, right? Anyways super happy for him and he's the coolest husband and father in the world.
Jose Leguizamon. hahaha best guy. He just got back in July from his mission and he's a super cool kid. One of my faves here. I have him on facebook I think.
Sheila and Alyson and I can't remember the little girl's name. The daughter is a recent convert from couple months ago. Super funny. I've only taught them once but she's cool.
Sun's out tongues out
Goodbye Elder Gonzalez :')
Goodbye Rio Gallegos :')
